Depeche Mode release video for „My Favourite Stranger
Just in time for the start of the third part of their world tour, Depeche Mode have released the video for the song „My Favourite Stranger“ from the album „Memento Mori“.
You already know the video from the band’s concerts, where it runs in the background to the song. The music video was shot by Anton Corbijn for the current tour of Depeche Mode.
Depeche Mode On Tour Again
The summer break is over: on Thursday Depeche Mode continue their world tour with a total of three concerts in Mexico City.
But first to the facts: Dave Gahan and Martin Gore will perform on September 21, September 23 and September 25 at Foro Sol, a baseball stadium in Mexico City that holds around 55,000 spectators.
TV documentary or concert recording?
Around the concerts, rumors about a possible recording of the performances have been sprouting for days. Will Anton Corbijn shoot material for a concert film?
The only thing that seems to be certain is that the band is currently working on a documentary film about the concerts together with the well-known Mexican film director Fernando Frias. It is unclear whether the material will be shot for a TV documentary or for something bigger.
Depeche Mode announce boxset for „Delta Machine“
Depeche Mode announced the release of their next box set, „Delta Machine – The 12″-Singles“. The set includes six maxi-singles featuring songs from the band’s 13th studio album.
Specifically, you’ll get the vinyl maxis for the songs Heaven, Soothe My Soul and Should Be Higher. Additionally, B-sides, remixes, dub versions and other recordings from the time Depeche Mode’s 13th album, „Delta Machine,“ was released in March 2013 are included. As a bonus track, you can look forward to „Goodbye (Gesaffelstein Remix).“
Some of the discs in the boxset have been specially recompiled for this edition and include tracks that were available on both CDs and maxi-singles in the year the album was released.
The box set also includes a reproduction of the original marketing poster for „Soothe My Soul,“ a DM logo stencil and a digital download code.
For the recording of „Delta Machine“ Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andrew Fletcher engaged for the third time the producer Ben Hillier, who already worked on the two previous albums.
The box set will be released on October 6, 2023.
